History of Institute Establishment
The Singapore Institute of Management Development in Tashkent is the first branch campus of the Singapore Institute of Management Development (Republic of Singapore) in Tashkent. Its establishment history dates back to January 2007, when the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the proposal of the President of the Republic of Singapore, accepted an official invitation to visit Singapore with a state visit. In May 2007, the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan invited the leadership of MDIS to participate in a regional conference on banking. Following this official visit, discussions between the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan and MDIS began regarding the teaching of Uzbekistan staff in Singapore. As a result, a delegation from the Association of Banks of Uzbekistan visited the institute to discuss this proposal. Subsequently, both parties decided to create study programs in Uzbekistan and focus on the development of this field.
Admission quota of the Institute for 2024-2025: 2500 admissions are planned including all directions.

Career Fairs
Career fairs are events regularly held by the Business Development Center of TSMRI. The main objective of the event is to provide employers with the opportunity to select employees among TSMRI students and graduates.
The job fair is held twice a year (in spring and autumn) at the institute. The list of employers includes the country's commercial banks and financial institutions, public information outlets and publishing companies, industrial enterprises, tourism companies and hotels, as well as government organizations and ministries.
This is an excellent opportunity for students to speak with potential employers, present themselves to the hiring companies, and obtain information about existing vacancies.

To create convenient conditions for both employers and students, the TSMRI Career Center conducts campus interviews for job placement.

For companies, it is recommended to visit TSMRI to provide presentations on their work activities and inform interested students about professional development opportunities. Presentations are held once a week during the semester (Professional Thursday) and usually last for an hour.
