Agriculture is the main source of food for the population. At the same time, it supplies raw materials for a number of light industry sectors. For example, in the spinning industry, the share of agricultural raw materials (in value terms) is 60% of all material costs, in the confectionery industry — about 70%, in the dairy industry — about 80%. All this shows that without the development of agricultural production at the desired pace, no better program to improve the standard of living of the people can be implemented.

Water resources management is a network of the national economy; studies water resources, takes into account, plans their integrated use, operates irrigation systems, protects groundwater and surface water from pollution and depletion, and supplies them to consumers.
