Forage crops are plants planted for the purpose of foraging (greens, hay, feed, silage) for livestock and poultry. Forage crops include annual and perennial grasses, root crops, potato plants, melons, sweet potatoes (sweet potatoes), silage suppressants and cereals that are sown for feed. Currently, under the conditions of an accelerated farming system, the cultivation of forage crops is allocated to an independent industry and is called feed production.
