About the direction
The Karakul or Karakul sheep breed is a rough-haired breed of sheep bred because of its fluffy skin. The breed was created several hundred years ago on the territory of modern Uzbekistan (Karakul district of Bukhara region) by long-term selection and crossing of Jaidari sheep by the method of folk breeding. According to some archaeological data, Karakul sheep were bred there continuously since 1400 BC.
The Karakul sheep, which lives in the desert regions of Central Asia, is known for its ability to grow in extreme living conditions. They can survive in harsh arid conditions because they store reserves in the form of tail fat.
