About the direction
Philology and Language Teaching: German is a field within the social-humanitarian and pedagogical sciences that studies the structure, development, and teaching methodology of the German language. This program provides an in-depth analysis of German grammar, phonetics, vocabulary, and stylistics. Special attention is also given to studying German literature, culture, and the history of the language.
Graduates of the Bachelor’s Program in Philology and Language Teaching: German may work in the following professions:
- German language teacher — teaching German in schools, lyceums, and colleges (with a pedagogical certificate).
- Language center instructor — teaching German in private language centers.
- Translator — performing written and oral translations (with additional qualifications).
- Philologist (linguist) — engaging in scientific or practical work in linguistics and philology.
