About the direction
Philology and Language Teaching: Uzbek Language and Literature is a field within the social-humanitarian and pedagogical sciences that studies the structure, development, grammar, phonetics, vocabulary, and stylistics of the Uzbek language. This program also places special emphasis on Uzbek literature, culture, the history of the language, and teaching methodology.
Graduates of the Bachelor’s Program in Philology and Language Teaching: Uzbek Language and Literature may work in the following professions:
- Uzbek language and literature teacher — teaching in schools, lyceums, and colleges (with a pedagogical certificate).
- Language center instructor — teaching Uzbek in private educational centers.
- Translator — performing written and oral translations (with additional qualifications).
- Philologist (linguist) — engaging in scientific or practical work in linguistics and philology.
