About the direction
Physics and Astronomy is a group of natural sciences that study matter, energy, their interactions, as well as celestial bodies and phenomena in the Universe. This field, along with the laws of physics, deeply explores celestial objects such as stars, planets, galaxies, and the structure of the Universe. Physics and astronomy focus on explaining natural phenomena, modeling processes in the Universe, and analyzing them on a scientific basis.
This field covers areas such as mechanics, optics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, quantum physics, astrophysics, and cosmology. Physics and astronomy play an important role in understanding nature and the Universe, developing modern technologies, and conducting scientific research.
Graduates with a bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy can work in the following professions:
- School teacher – teaching physics and astronomy (with a pedagogical certificate or retraining).
- Research scientist – conducting research in scientific institutes and observatories.
- Astronomer or astrophysicist – observing celestial bodies and studying processes in the Universe.
- Laboratory specialist – carrying out physical experiments and research.
- Technician or engineer – working in industry, energy, and high-tech sectors.
- Consultant or project manager – managing scientific and technical projects.
