About the direction

Hydraulic structures are structures built to use water resources or to combat the erosive effects of water. G. I. According to its purpose, it is divided into 2 groups — general and special purpose premises. It includes a water dispenser, water intake, drainage and water control facilities. Water differences (dams) create a difference in water pressure or water level in front of and behind the structure. Water intake (water intake) structures are used to divert water from a source (rivers, lakes, reservoirs, etc.) into channels. A water conduit (conduit) is built to direct water to the appropriate places (canal, canal, aqueduct, duiker, pipes, hydraulic tunnels); connecting devices (downpipes, water heaters, gutters, channel regulators) G. I. provides smooth integration of various parts. Drainage structures are used to remove excess water from reservoirs, channels, pressure basins.
