About the direction
Journalism is a field belonging to the social sciences and information-communication sphere. It studies the processes of collecting, analyzing, processing, and delivering information to the public.
This field focuses on the principles of working in print media, television, radio, online media, and digital platforms; journalistic genres (news, report, interview, article, analysis); the role of mass media in society; as well as media ethics and journalism legislation.
Graduates of the Bachelor’s degree in Journalism can work in the following professions:
- Journalist — preparing materials for newspapers, magazines, and online publications
- Television Journalist — producing reports, interviews, and TV programs
- Radio Journalist — preparing and hosting radio programs
- Editor — editing and supervising written content
- Correspondent — covering events and current news
