About the direction
Uzbek Language and Literature is a field belonging to the social-humanitarian and pedagogical sphere that studies the structure, development, and teaching methodology of the Uzbek language. This field provides an in-depth analysis of Uzbek grammar, phonetics, vocabulary, and stylistics. It also pays special attention to the study of Uzbek literature, culture, and the history of the language.
Graduates of the bachelor’s program in Uzbek Language and Literature can work in the following professions:
- Uzbek language and literature teacher — teaching in schools, lyceums, and colleges (with a pedagogical certificate).
- Language center teacher — teaching Uzbek in private language centers.
- Translator — performing written and oral translation (with additional qualification).
- Literary scholar / linguist — conducting scientific or practical work.
