About the direction
Kickboxing is a sport. It is a combat sport that combines the essential protective equipment of two athletes and is fought in a boxing ring or a 6x6 meter square for victory. Kickboxing competitions are held in 9 different categories distinguished by striking techniques. In competitions held in the ring, men compete in weight categories of 53.5, 56.5, 60, 64.5, 67, 70, 72.5, 76, 82, and 88.5 kg and above, while women compete in weight categories of 53.5, 58, 64.5 kg and above. In competitions held on mats, men compete in weight categories of 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85 kg and above, while women compete in weight categories of 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 kg and above. Strength tests are conducted during weightlifting tournaments. The competition consists of 2 to 3 rounds, each lasting 2 minutes. Strikes given to the opponent are evaluated with 1, 2, and 3 points.
