About the direction
Table tennis or Ping-pong is a sport game played on a table with small bats and a ball. It originated in East Asia and spread to many countries in the 20th century. It was initially called "pingpong" (from French "pingpong" - the sound made by the ball hitting the bat and table). The standard table size for table tennis is usually 152.5x274.3 cm, with a height of 76 cm and a net of 183x15.25 cm. The surface of the bat is covered with a rubber plate. The ball is made of white plastic, with a diameter of 37.2-38.2 mm and a weight of 2.4-2.53 g. The playing area is typically 6-7 x 12-14 m. Official competitions are held in sports halls, with both men's and women's teams competing in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. The game is played in 3 or 5 sets, with one player winning if they reach 11 points. If the score is tied at 10-10, the game continues until one player has a 2-point advantage.
