About the direction
Judo is a contact sport. It was founded by Professor Jigoro Kano in Japan in 1882. He took the non-competitive techniques of Japanese jiu-jitsu and developed it into a sport that promotes physical development. Judoka wear a special uniform called a gi and compete on a mat. The main objective is to throw or immobilize the opponent. Matches last 4 minutes for men and women. During the match, players try to throw and control their opponent to earn points.
