Kurash is a national sport of Uzbekistan. Kurash is a type of sport where two wrestlers compete to win according to a set of rules. The art of kurash has been known in many cultures since ancient times. Kurash, especially in Greece, has gained widespread popularity and has always been present in ancient Olympic competitions. Different forms of national kurash exist in countries such as Greece, Italy, Japan, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and other countries. The basic rules of modern kurash were developed in the late 18th and early 19th centuries in several European countries. In 1912, the International Wrestlers Federation (FILA) was established (currently it has 144 member countries, and Uzbekistan has been a member since 1993). The cost of daily training is 12,627,170 soums. The duration of the training is 4 years.
