The main goal of this direction is to familiarize students with the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of history, to provide them with important knowledge of archaeology, ethnography, Uzbek and world history, as well as the skills necessary for real professional situations. During their studies, students acquire the skills of analyzing historical facts, evaluating them in context, working with evidence, historical thinking, and conducting independent scientific research.

History specialists who successfully complete this direction will have the opportunity to work in the following areas and positions, depending on their interests and specializations:

— Researcher: works in scientific centers, institutes, and archives that study historical topics, participates in archaeological excavations and the study of documentary sources.

— Museum specialist: systematizes historical objects and exhibits related to cultural heritage, studies them, and presents them to the public.

— History teacher or professor: teaches history in secondary schools, academic lyceums, colleges or universities, develops teaching methodologies.

— Guide or tour guide: guides local and foreign tourists to historical monuments and tourist destinations, creates historical programs and presents them live.

— Archivist: is engaged in the preservation, digitization, and analysis of historical documents in state and non-state archives.

— Historical content creator: prepares popular scientific materials on historical topics in the media, historical journals, or online platforms.

Also, specialists with in-depth knowledge of history can successfully work in the fields of culture, diplomacy, public speaking, translation, or tourism.

Tests: Consist of history and native language subjects, as well as logic (IQ) tests.
