About the direction

Veterinary medicine is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, treatment, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, ailments and injuries in non-human animals. The scope of veterinary medicine is wide and covers all types of domestic and wild animals with various conditions that can affect different species.

Veterinary medicine is widely used both under professional supervision and without it. Professional care is often provided by a veterinarian (also called a veterinarian, veterinary surgeon, or "veterinarian"), as well as by paraveterinary personnel such as veterinary nurses, veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants. Other paraprofessionals with specific specialties, such as animal physiotherapy or dentistry, as well as species-related roles, such as blacksmiths, can be added to this.
