About the direction
Chemical Technology of Nuclear Fuel Cycle Materials is an academic program focused on the production, processing, analysis, and safe handling of materials used in the nuclear fuel cycle. The program provides students with comprehensive knowledge of nuclear chemistry, radiochemistry, nuclear fuel technology, materials science, and advanced chemical engineering processes.
The curriculum covers the stages of the nuclear fuel cycle, uranium and nuclear material processing technologies, radiochemical analysis, nuclear materials chemistry, radioactive waste management, radiation safety, environmental protection, and quality control.
Graduates of this bachelor's program can pursue careers as:
- Nuclear Chemical Engineer — managing technologies for the production and processing of nuclear fuel materials.
- Radiochemist — conducting chemical analyses and research involving radioactive substances.
- Nuclear Materials Engineer — producing and ensuring the quality of nuclear fuel cycle materials.
- Radiation Safety Specialist — ensuring compliance with radiation protection and safety standards.
- Laboratory Specialist — performing chemical and radiochemical analyses of nuclear materials.
