Electric trains are mainly used for suburban and short-distance intercity rail services, as well as as a city train. Unlike other types of traction trains, they can accelerate and brake quickly at short intervals between stations, have a relatively low noise level and do not pollute the environment, which is very important in densely populated areas. In addition, electric trains are used for high-speed passenger traffic.
