About the direction
Master’s Degree: Uzbek Language and Literature is an academic field within the social and humanities sciences that focuses on the in-depth study of the theory and practice of the Uzbek language, including phonetics, morphology, syntax, lexicology, stylistics, text linguistics, as well as ancient, classical, and modern Uzbek literature. This program equips students with knowledge and skills in linguistic and literary analysis, teaching the Uzbek language, and conducting linguistic and literary research.
Graduates who have obtained a Master’s degree in Uzbek Language and Literature may work in the following professions:
- Linguist — research in Uzbek language and linguistics
- Teacher of Uzbek Language and Literature — teaching in schools, colleges, and higher education institutions
- Literary scholar — academic analysis of literary works and literary processes
- Researcher in linguistics and literary studies — conducting scientific research and participating in academic projects
- Editor and proofreader — working in publishing houses and mass media
- Terminologist — developing specialized terminology and lexical databases in the Uzbek language
