Engineering graphics and design theory

Based on the general goals of the engineering graphics teaching methodology, the purpose of learning the science of drawing (engineering graphics) in secondary schools and vocational colleges, the content of the subject and the most convenient working methods for students to perform graphic work and is a science that studies the forms and means of effective organization of the educational process. Design is a term that represents the types of design activities aimed at forming the aesthetic and functional qualities of the environment of objects.

Design activities include a wide range of consumer goods, machinery, tools, clothing, advertising and packaging materials, public and residential furnishings, furniture, and more. Design emerged at the beginning of the 20th century and was formed in the 1930s as a special activity in Western Europe and the United States. From the second half of 1980, the scope of design expanded.
