Pediatrics is a medical specialty that studies the methods of diagnosing, treating and preventing children's diseases, as well as caring for sick children.

“Pediatrics”, which is taught on the basis of a higher education program, is distinguished by the fact that students, in addition to gaining knowledge about general issues of medicine, diagnostic and treatment methods depending on the anatomical and physiological processes occurring in the human body, also get acquainted with the course of physiological and pathological processes, manifestations of the disease, treatment tactics depending on the age and gender of children. Special attention is paid to the prevention and upbringing of a healthy child.

A graduate who has mastered the educational program in the specialty of Pediatrics and successfully passed the final state certification is awarded the qualification of “General Practice Pediatrician”.
