About the direction

Radio electronics is a common name for branches of science and technology related to the transmission and transformation of information using radio frequency electromagnetic vibrations and waves. The main ones are radio engineering and electronics. R. includes telegraphy, telephone, Aloka phototelegraph, radio broadcasting, television, radar, radio astronomy, electronic automation, computing and control machines, the basics of automation of production processes, large-scale application of physiotherapy and diagnostic methods in medicine, spacecraft, etc.

The improvement of radio tubes at the beginning of the 20th century, the creation of a triode lamp made it possible to create radio-electronic devices that generate and amplify electrical vibrations. Later, multielectrode — tetrode, pentode, hexode and heptode radio tubes were created, in which the frequency field of electrical oscillations increased. As a result of the development of vacuum technology, a photocell was created, with the help of which a sound film appeared. By the 50s, semiconductor electronics quickly came to naught, compact and convenient electronic devices were created that work on the basis of semiconductor devices-diodes and triodes (transistors).
