History

History is a social and humanitarian science that studies the life and activities of humanity in the past. It examines historical processes, as well as the emergence and development of societies from ancient times to the present day. History studies the political, economic, social, and cultural life of states and peoples. Historical events are analyzed in terms of their causes and consequences. This discipline is based on historical sources such as written documents, archaeological findings, oral traditions, and material monuments. History generalizes the experience of humanity.

Graduates of the bachelor’s degree program in History can work in the following professions:

• School teacher — teaching history and social sciences (with a pedagogical certificate or retraining).
• Archivist — working with historical documents in state and private archives.
• Museum employee — working with museum exhibits, as a research assistant or tour guide.
• Tour guide (excursion guide) — conducting tours at historical sites and tourist routes.
• Research assistant — working in entry-level positions at research institutes.
