Jurisprudence is one of the oldest social sciences. Its historical origin is connected with the emergence and development of law. Even in Greek philosophy, the most important theoretical problems of jurisprudence were posed, while Roman lawyers developed legal concepts and structures that have retained their importance in our time. The problems of law in a modern democratic society and a state governed by the rule of law are of exceptional importance, Jurisprudence is structurally divided into several branches: state law, civil law, Criminal law, international law, the history of state and law, the history of political knowledge. A special place is occupied by the science of the general theory of state and law, which studies the essence of the state and law, and other general issues of jurisprudence.
