About the institute:
Tashkent Institute of Pediatric Medicine was established in 1972 and is a leading institute in the field of "Pediatrics". Over 29,500 highly qualified doctors were trained during its 46 years of operation. ToshPTI is a state higher education institution that implements the basic and professional training programs of higher education, as well as educational, methodical and scientific activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The main tasks of ToshPTI:
Training of highly qualified competitive specialists, formation of an all-round developed and loyal personality of a citizen of an independent state;
development of science through scientific-research and creative activities of scientific-pedagogical staff and students, use of obtained results in the educational process;
training, re-training and upgrading the qualifications of highly educated and scientific-pedagogical personnel;
spread knowledge among the population, increase its educational and cultural level.
The institute has 39 departments.
The teaching staff includes 516 employees, of which 76 are doctors of science and professors, 201 are candidates of science and associate professors.
Procedure for admission of students to the institute:
Admission to educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan is carried out according to the rating system of points collected according to the results of entrance exams (tests, professional (creative) exam, written exam) by the State Commission.
Scholarships:
The institute has state grants. Grants are available at the university. State grants are allocated to talented students who have obtained high marks in the entrance exams. These grants are awarded for one academic year only, and students admitted on the basis of a contract have the opportunity to study the grant in subsequent academic years.
Institute scholarship:
Students studying on the basis of a state grant:
The basic amount of the scholarship is paid in the 1st semester of the first year;
- Starting from the next semester, depending on the results of the previous semester, the scholarship will be awarded and paid in the following order:
- Students with excellent performance in all subjects will be paid with a 20% increase in the basic amount of the scholarship;
- Scholarships will not be awarded to students who satisfactorily mastered 30% or more of their general subjects, i.e. scored less than 71 points. With the exception of orphans and children deprived of parental care and students with group 1 and 2 disabilities;
- All other students receiving education on the basis of a state grant will be paid the basic amount of the scholarship.
Scholarships are awarded and paid to students studying on the basis of a payment contract in the following order:
- Contract students can study with or without a scholarship;
- The basic amount of the stipend will be paid to those under the contract, regardless of the mastery rate.
- The stipend will be assigned and paid after the contract amount has been paid.
Scholarships are paid for students with group I and II disabilities in the following order:
- Students with group I and II disabilities are assigned and paid a stipend 50% higher than the base amount of the scholarship, regardless of whether they study on a grant or contract;
- Students who belong to the group of orphans and children deprived of parental care, who are fully supported by the state, are assigned and paid a scholarship in the basic amount of the scholarship.
International cooperation:
To date, the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute and the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute Clinic have taken an undisputed leading position in the field of education in the medical universities and clinics of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the implementation of international cooperation in the health care system. International relations of the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute are developing on the basis of more than 40 agreements with prestigious medical universities and clinics of the world. To date, the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute continues to cooperate with many higher education institutions and clinics of developed foreign countries on the basis of signed memoranda and agreements:
