📢 Do science olympiad winners get a 4-year scholarship?

📌 Starting from 2025, government scholarships will no longer be automatically awarded for 4 years.

🧾 Instead, students will initially receive a scholarship for 1 year, and future years depend on academic performance.

⚠️ However, this rule does not fully apply to certain privileged categories of applicants.

🎯 Who gets the full 4-year scholarship?

A full 4-year scholarship is guaranteed only to winners of the following 5 international science olympiads:

🥇 IMO – International Mathematical Olympiad

🥈 IPhO – International Physics Olympiad

🥉 IChO – International Chemistry Olympiad

🌿 IBO – International Biology Olympiad

💻 IOI – International Olympiad in Informatics

🏅 Students who win gold, silver, or bronze medals in these olympiads:

✅ Are admitted without entrance exams

✅ Are awarded a state-funded scholarship

✅ And are guaranteed funding for 4 years

❓ What about national olympiads or other awards?

In most cases, winners of national science olympiads or specialized competitions:

🔹 May get bonus points or exemption from exams

🔹 Are not guaranteed a scholarship

🔹 Must score well in the entrance test to qualify

🔹 Receive a scholarship only for 1 year, which is renewed based on academic performance

✅ Conclusion:

🎓 A full 4-year government scholarship is only granted to winners of 5 specific international olympiads.

🏅 Even top scorers in national competitions do not receive this privilege.

📌 So it’s very important that each applicant clearly understands their type of benefit or privilege.
