The history of Afrasiab University dates back to the Institute of Social and Political Sciences (ISFI), established in 2022. The institute was licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan under License No. 056369, authorizing it to provide private higher education services. Within a short period, the institute earned a respected position in Uzbekistan’s higher education system.

Throughout its development, the institute built a strong academic and research foundation by engaging experienced professors and lecturers specializing in social sciences, political science, economics, and other fields. Particular emphasis was placed on equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills required to meet the demands of the modern labor market.

In 2026, ISFI underwent a rebranding process and continued its activities under the name Afrasiab University. This transformation marked an important milestone in the university’s development, expanding its academic programs, strengthening international cooperation, and establishing a modern university aligned with global educational standards.

Today, Afrasiab University offers high-quality education across 24 academic programs at both the bachelor's and master's levels. All academic programs are designed to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical training, enabling graduates to become highly competitive professionals in today’s global job market.
