About university

Al-Khwarizmi University was established by Presidential Decree PQ-160 on the 30th of April 2025 as a key pillar of Uzbekistan’s national strategy to modernize and internationalize education in technology, engineering, and artificial intelligence. Named after the legendary scholar Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, the university embodies the spirit of scientific innovation rooted in the land of Khorezm.

The foundation of the university builds upon the successful model and experience of New Uzbekistan University (NewUU), which pioneered a new educational culture in the country. Drawing from its partnerships, curriculum frameworks, and operational systems, Al-Khwarizmi University adapts this proven approach to serve the needs of western Uzbekistan and beyond — with a special focus on nurturing future-ready talent aligned with global standards.

Our establishment marks not only a continuation of reform but also a leap forward in creating an academic institution that bridges tradition and future, combining world-classNameNameNameNameNameNameName instruction with the rich scientific heritage of Central Asia.

Al-Khwarizmi University is committed to nurturing a new generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators by:

  • Delivering world-classNameNameNameNameNameNameName, practice-driven education aligned with international standards.
  • Driving cutting-edge research that addresses national and global challenges.
  • Creating strong, dynamic partnerships with industry to ensure relevance, innovation, and employability.
  • Promoting values of curiosity, integrity, collaboration, and service to society.

Inspired by the legacy of our namesake, we aim to empower our students to become the algorithmic thinkers and changemakers of tomorrow.
