About university
Japan Digital University (JDU) — was established in 2019 as an initiative during the official visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Japan and serves as a higher education institution based on cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan. The university prepares students for advanced Japanese language learning and comprehensive knowledge in the field of information technology (IT). Classes are conducted by both Japanese and Uzbek instructors, and students have the opportunity to participate in distance learning in collaboration with Japanese universities. JDU offers 7 bachelor’s programs, all aimed at equipping students with modern IT skills and Japanese language proficiency. Graduates receive support for employment in Japanese IT companies and gaining practical experience, with assistance provided for up to two years after graduation. Located in Tashkent, the university’s goal is to train highly qualified specialists, direct them to work in Japanese companies, and enable them to apply their knowledge in practice in their home country.
