About Jizzakh State Pedagogical University:

Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, which is one of the prominent higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, was established in 1974. It was later renamed to Abdulla Qodiriy in 1989. Initially, it started with 2 faculties, 5 specializations, 6 departments, 50 professors and teachers, and 425 students. However, over the years, it has grown into a major academic institution with 13 faculties, 41 departments, and a large pool of renowned scholars. As per the decree PQ-289 issued on June 21, 2022, by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it has been granted the status of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University under the name of A. Qodiriy, with the aim of enhancing the quality of pedagogical education and further developing the activities of higher education institutions that prepare pedagogical personnel.

Bachelor's Degree:

Currently, the University has 13 faculties and 41 departments. The total number of students enrolled is as follows: 11,044 students in 27 bachelor's degree programs offered at daytime departments, 7,086 students in 11 bachelor's degree programs offered at evening departments, and 1,271 students in 20 master's degree programs. The faculty consists of 836 professors and teachers. Admission to Jizzakh State Pedagogical University for the academic year 2023/2024 will be open from June 20 to July 20, 2023.

Joint Programs at JDPU:

Jizzakh State Pedagogical University also collaborates with two prominent universities in Belarus: Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University and Baranovichi State University. Together, they offer joint programs in three specializations:

These joint programs provide an opportunity for JDPU students to obtain a prestigious foreign diploma alongside their JDPU degree through a one or two-year academic exchange program (3 + 1 or 2 + 2) in another country, such as Belarus. This allows students to broaden their knowledge of foreign languages and gain international experience.

About JDPU Dormitory:

The JDPU student dormitory has undergone significant renovations in recent years. Today, it provides comfortable living conditions for 465 students, who are offered accommodation based on various criteria, at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University.
