About Qo'qon State Pedagogical Institute:

The Qo'qon State Pedagogical Institute, located in Muqimiya, was established in January 1931 as an evening pedagogical institute. From 1939-1940 academic year onwards, it was transformed into a full-fledged state teacher training institute. In 1943, it was renamed the Women Teachers Institute, and in 1954, it became the Women's State Pedagogical Institute. In October 1943, the institute was named after the democratic poet Muqimiya.

Today, the Qo'qon State Pedagogical Institute is recognized as one of the leading pedagogical institutions in our republic, providing modern pedagogical training. The institute has a modern material-technical base, with 269 modern classrooms equipped with today's requirements. It has 21 laboratories, one stadium, four basketball and volleyball courts, three open sports halls, 396 computers in modern computer rooms established in faculties, and student accommodations with all conveniences in three buildings, serving 250 students.

The Qo'qon State Pedagogical Institute has 4 student hostels accommodating a total of 1860 students. The distribution of students is as follows:

1st hostel - 530 students

2nd hostel - 531 students

3rd hostel - 700 students

4th hostel - 112 students

Starting from the new academic year, the system of allocating students to their hostels is fully computerized. Joint Programs of Qo'qon State Pedagogical Institute:

The Qo'qon State Pedagogical Institute, under the name of Muqimiya, implements joint educational programs based on contracts for undergraduate studies with foreign higher education institutions in the 2019-2020 academic year. These joint programs include the following fields of study:

- Teaching Informatics Methodology in partnership with the Russian Federation, the Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University

- Mother Tongue and Literature: Russian Language and Literature, in partnership with Miftakheddin Akmullayev Bukhara State Pedagogical University

- Defectology: Speech Therapy, in partnership with various universities offering undergraduate programs in this field
