About university
Riga Nordic University Branch in Fergana (RNU Fergana Branch) operates in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-3952 dated September 26, 2018. One of the main goals of the branch is to train qualified specialists in business management, tourism, and information systems for various sectors of the national economy.
The branch offers education in the following three bachelor’s degree programs:
• Business Administration
• Business Administration in Tourism
• Information Systems
The educational process is conducted in accordance with the academic programs of Riga Nordic University, Latvia, following the credit-module system. European professors regularly visit the branch to deliver lectures. Students are provided with all necessary conditions for study and practical training.
Each student has the opportunity to undertake paid internships in European companies. In addition, under student mobility programs, students can study for one or two semesters at RNU’s foreign partner universities. RNU also offers internships in tourism and hospitality enterprises in Latvia. Many RNU students begin their professional careers while still studying.
Admission Requirements and Required Documents
To apply for RNU, applicants must submit:
• Standard application form
• Certificate/Diploma (in the original language) and its notarized English translation
• English language proficiency certificate: TOEFL (70) / IELTS (5.5) / CEFR (B2) / DUOLINGO (90)
• Scanned copy of passport
• Two 3×4 cm photographs
• Passing score in internal entrance examinations
Student Dormitory
RNU provides student accommodation facilities for its students.
Scholarships and Grants
Each academic year, RNU allocates 10 grants for undergraduate students. These grants are awarded to applicants who achieve the highest scores in the internal entrance examinations.
RNU’s strategic partners include well-known international organizations:
• BMDA (Baltic Management Development Association) — объединяющая universities and business professionals from 24 countries including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the United Kingdom, and the USA.
• CEEMAN — an international association for management development in dynamic societies, with more than 220 representatives from Europe, Asia, and other regions.
• LVRA — Latvian Hotels and Restaurants Association
• LDDK — Employers’ Confederation of Latvia
• Tourism industry systems such as AMADEUS (global reservation system) and Hotelinco (property management system)
Students can complete internships from 2 to 5 months in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Latvia through the European Union’s Erasmus+ program.
The diploma awarded by Riga Nordic University is internationally recognized in Europe, the USA, Canada, and Asian countries.
Grants
At RNU, 10 scholarships are allocated each academic year for undergraduate students. These scholarship opportunities are awarded to applicants who achieve the highest scores in the internal entrance examinations.
