Samarqand State University Admissions 2023-2024

Online document submission to Samarqand State University continues from June 20th to July 20th. The documents to the university are submitted online by the "Agency for Evaluation of Science and Skills".

History of Samarqand State University:

Samarqand State University is not only a famous ancient and prestigious higher education institution in Uzbekistan, but also in many countries around the world. Although the official establishment date of our institution is marked as 1927, its formation and its rise to the position of higher education is closely related to the rich history and achievements of the Ulugh Beg Academy in the Timurid era, especially with its scientific and educational, artistic and cultural traditions, architectural and construction ideas which became famous worldwide.

We are proud that our distinguished ancestors such as Mirzo Ulugh Beg, Qozizoda Rumiy, Ali Qushchi, G’iyosiddin Koshiy, Alisher Navoiy, Abduraxmon Jomiy have elevated knowledge and culture in Samarqand and have laid the foundation of world civilization. One of these prestigious higher education institutions is Samarqand State University, which has produced thousands of professionals and highly qualified specialists for the national economy of Uzbekistan during its long years of activity.

Dormitory:

Currently, there are 3 dormitories at the university, accommodating a total of 1116 students. The 4th dormitory can accommodate 522, and the 5th dormitory can accommodate 394 students. The 4th dormitory is currently under reconstruction, the 5th dormitory was opened in 2017, and the 6th dormitory was allocated for use in 2019. The total number of students is 12021. 14% of university students are provided with accommodation in the dormitories. The monthly fee for dormitory accommodation this year is 115,500 Uzbekistani soms.

Scholarships:

In the 2023-2024 academic year, scholarships were announced for those who want to study in master's and doctoral programs at one of the 20 state and 4 private universities in Malaysia through the Malaysian International Scholarship (MIS) program 2023. This program includes a scholarship of approximately 350 dollars.

Joint Programs:

Currently, Samarqand State University has signed cooperation agreements with universities in Russia, the United States, France, Germany, Romania, South Korea, Japan, the Czech Republic, India, China, Spain, Turkey, Iceland, and other countries. Within the framework of these agreements, many foreign professors, teachers, specialists, and scholars are being attracted to the university.

The admissions process for "Perevod" will start on July 15th and end on August 5th.
