About the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction (TAQI):

According to the decree of the first president of the Republic of Uzbekistan I.A. Karimov on May 6, 1991, Tashkent University of Architecture and Construction was established on the basis of the "Architecture", "Industrial and Civil Construction" and "Engineering Construction" faculties of Tashkent Polytechnic University. It should be noted that Tashkent University of Architecture and Construction is considered the main higher education institution in the field of architecture and construction, and is responsible for the development of state educational standards, model curricula, science programs for educational areas and specialties, and national higher education institutions. always takes the initiative in implementing it in educational institutions. Training of qualified pedagogues from young personnel with academic degrees and academic titles is the focus of the department and deanships. There are 343 professors and teachers working at the Tashkent University of Architecture and Construction, 23 of them are doctors of science and professors, and about 102 are candidates of science and associate professors. 36% of professors and teachers of the institute have academic degrees and titles. Using advanced technologies, 52 textbooks, 106 instructional manuals and 372 teaching-methodical sets were prepared in TAQI for the 2019/2020 academic year on the basis of modern requirements. University professor-o' works published by teachers have more than 650 citations in Web of Science, Scopus, Google Scholar systems. In 2019, the number of professors and academic staff with the Hirsh (h)-index was 3, and in 2020 it was 16. According to the national rating of HEIs of the republic, the university ranked 42nd in 2017, and 42nd in 2018. took 20th place in 2019, and 15th place in 2019, and in 2020, it was awarded 13th place among the higher education institutions of the republic in terms of publication of articles in Web of Science, Scopus systems by professors. Since the establishment of the university, more than 20 international conferences have been held on the current problems of training specialists in the field of architecture and construction.

Procedure for admission of students to the institute:

Admission to educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan is carried out according to the rating system of points collected according to the results of entrance exams (tests, professional (creative) exam, written exam) by the State Commission.


Grants:

The institute has state grants. Grants are available at the university. State grants are allocated to talented students who have obtained high marks in the entrance exams. These grants are awarded for one academic year only, and students admitted on the basis of a contract have the opportunity to study the grant in subsequent academic years.


Institute scholarship:

Students studying on the basis of a state grant:

The basic amount of the scholarship is paid in the 1st semester of the first year;

- Starting from the next semester, depending on the results of the previous semester, the scholarship will be awarded and paid in the following order:

- Students with excellent performance in all subjects will be paid with a 20% increase in the basic amount of the scholarship;


- Students who satisfactorily mastered 30% or more of general subjects, i.e. scored less than 71 points, will not be awarded a scholarship. With the exception of orphans and children deprived of parental care and students with group 1 and 2 disabilities;

- All other students receiving education on the basis of a state grant will be paid the basic amount of the scholarship.


Scholarships are awarded and paid to students studying on the basis of a payment contract in the following order:

 - Contract students can study with or without a scholarship;

 - The basic amount of the stipend will be paid to those under the contract, regardless of the mastery rate.

 - The stipend will be assigned and paid after the contract amount has been paid.


Scholarships are paid for students with group I and II disabilities in the following order:

 - Students with group I and II disabilities are assigned and paid a stipend 50% higher than the base amount of the stipend, regardless of whether they study on a grant or a contract;

 - Students who belong to the group of orphans and children deprived of parental care, who are fully supported by the state, are assigned and paid a scholarship in the basic amount of the scholarship.

About international relations:

Currently, the institute has established scientific cooperative relations with 78 prestigious HEIs of foreign countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Republic of Korea, the People's Republic of China, Indonesia, Latvia, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, Japan, Azerbaijan, It has been cooperating with a number of prestigious educational institutions of countries such as Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan. Currently, the institute has 3 projects within the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
