About Tashkent State Law University (TDYU):

Tashkent State Law University (TSU) is the main higher educational and scientific-methodological institution in Uzbekistan for the training of legal personnel. The history of Oliygoh, the development of the national school of law in our country, and outstanding legal scholars such as Khadicha Sulaimanova, Hojiakbar Rahmonkulov, Boris Blinder, Georgiy Sargsyans, Anvar Agzamkhodzhayev, Shavkat Urazayev, Shoakbar Shoahmedov, Gafur Abdumajidov, Ikrom Zakirov, and national closely associated with the names of many other jurists who have contributed greatly to our jurisprudence.

On August 15, 1991, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, it was separated from Tashkent State University under the name of Tashkent State Legal Institute. By the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 28, 2013 PQ-1990, the Tashkent State Legal Institute was transformed into the Tashkent State Law University. Tashkent State Law University prepares specialists at the bachelor's, master's, doctoral and independent research levels. Organizational structure of TDYU in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 29, 2020 "On additional measures for the fundamental improvement of legal education and science in the Republic of Uzbekistan" No. PF-5987 was revised and new faculties and structural divisions were established. Currently, 4 faculties are operating at Tashkent State Law University.


University grants:

Grants are available at the Tashkent State Law University (TDYU) State grants are allocated to talented students who have obtained high marks in the entrance exams. These grants are awarded for one academic year only, and students admitted on the basis of a contract have the opportunity to study on the basis of a grant in the following academic years.


Entry requirements:

Participation in state exams organized by BMB(DTM).


University Scholarship:

Students studying on the basis of a state grant:

The basic amount of the scholarship is paid in the 1st semester of the first year;

- Starting from the next semester, depending on the results of the previous semester, the scholarship will be awarded and paid in the following order:

- Students with excellent performance in all subjects will be paid with a 20% increase in the basic amount of the scholarship;

- Scholarships will not be awarded to students who satisfactorily mastered 30% or more of their general subjects, i.e. scored less than 71 points. With the exception of orphans and children deprived of parental care and students with group 1 and 2 disabilities;

- All other students receiving education on the basis of a state grant will be paid the basic amount of the scholarship.


Scholarships are awarded and paid to students studying on the basis of a payment contract in the following order:

 - Contract students can study with or without a scholarship;

 - The basic amount of the stipend will be paid to those under the contract, regardless of the mastery rate.

 - The stipend will be assigned and paid after the contract amount has been paid.

Scholarships are paid for students with group I and II disabilities in the following order:

- Students with group I and II disabilities are assigned and paid a 50% higher stipend than the base amount of the stipend, regardless of whether they study on a grant or a contract;

- Students who belong to the group of orphans and children deprived of parental care, who are fully supported by the state, are assigned and paid a scholarship in the basic amount of the scholarship.



International cooperation:

TDYU is a full member of international organizations such as International Association of Universities (IAU), International Association of Law Schools (IALS), European Law Faculties Association (ELFA). accepted. Currently, applications for membership in the Magna Charta of Universities and the European Association of Higher Education Institutions (EURASHE) have been submitted.

At the master's degree of the Tashkent State University of Law, personnel are trained in the following specialties (study period - 1 year):

1. Advocacy activities

2. International Arbitration and Dispute Resolution

3. Sports law

4. The right of public administration

5. Business Law

6. Labor law

7. Theory and practice of criminal law application,

8. Intellectual property and information technology law

The university also has a center for professional training of legal personnel according to international standards, a specialized branch of the university for training and upgrading the qualifications of preventive inspectors, and an academic lyceum under the university.

At the same time, the activities of legal technical schools of the Ministry of Justice established in each region of our republic are being coordinated by the university.



Dormitories of TSUL:

There are currently three student dormitories operating under the Tashkent State University of Law.

1st student dormitory: Located at Olmazor district, Talabalar ko'chasi, house number 192. The building was constructed in 1960, has 4 floors, accommodates 292 students, has a total of 148 rooms, and 115 living rooms.

Currently, 292 students reside in this dormitory, of which 199 are female.

2nd student dormitory: Located at Olmazor district, Talabalar ko'chasi, house number 192. The building was constructed in 1960, has 4 floors, accommodates 297 students, has a total of 144 rooms, and 115 living rooms.

Currently, 297 students reside in this dormitory, of which 54 are female.

3rd student dormitory: Located at 67a, 12th block of Uchtepa district, Tashkent city. The building was completed in December 2021, specifically designated for students of the university. The dormitory has 4 floors, can accommodate 548 students, includes a total of 178 rooms, and 137 living rooms.

Currently, 529 students reside in this dormitory, of which 58 are female.
