During the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey on February 19, 2020, a Memorandum was signed in Ankara on the opening of a branch of the University of Economics and Technology of Turkey in Tashkent at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey                                                                                                    

The University operates on the basis of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 06/17/2020 No. 389 "On measures to establish a branch of the Turkish University of Economics and Technology in Tashkent"

The University offers full-time study on a grant-and-fee-and-contract basis, in English ("International Business and Entrepreneurship", "E-Commerce and Technology Management", "Architecture" and "Interior Architecture and Environmental Design") and Uzbek language ("Economics", "Finance", "Information Technology Management".) Duration of study – 4 year. TOBB ETU Ankara University ranks high in a number of international rankings. In particular, it ranks 32nd in the list of universities created after 2000. It is included in the list of TOP 500 universities in the world ranking in some of categories.
