About university

About the University:

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 28, 1992 "On the establishment of new higher educational institutions", the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 125 of March 11, 1992 and Uzbekistan The Urganch branch of the First Tashkent State Medical Institute was established based on the order of the Minister of Health of the Republic No. 171 dated March 20, 1992. On September 2, 1992, the Urganch branch of the First Tashkent State Medical Institute was opened. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 31, 1995 and the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic dated June 3, 1995, the branch was included in the Urganch State University. A Medical Center was established at UrSU. Pursuant to the decision of the Government of the Republic No. 239 dated June 3, 1998, the Medical Center of UrDU was again transformed into an independent educational center. That is, the Urganch branch of the First Tashkent State Medical Institute was established.

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 19, 2005 No. PF-3629 "On the establishment of the Tashkent Medical Academy" and the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 178 dated July 29, 2005, highly qualified Tashkent Medical Academy was established on the basis of the completed first and second Tashkent State Medical Institutes in order to improve the organization of training of medical personnel and increase its quality. The Urganch branch of the First Tashkent State Medical Institute was renamed the Urganch branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy.

Educational activities:

5 faculties have been established in the Urganch branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy:

In the faculty of treatment: direction of treatment work (60910200),

At the Faculty of Pediatrics: Pediatrics (60910300), Vocational Education (treatment) (5111000), Higher Nursing (60911200), Folk Medicine (60911100),

At the Faculty of Stomatology: Department of Dentistry (60910100), Pharmacy (by types) (60910700), Medical Prevention, Public Health Management and Foreign Students at the Faculty: Medical Prevention (60910400), All Departments foreign students, at the Faculty of the Joint Program: Department of Medical Biology of Kazan Federal University (30.05.01), Treatment Department of Privolzhsk Research Medical University (31.05.01), Pharmacy (33.05.01), Dentistry Department (31.05.03) educational activities have been launched.


Admission requirements:

Applications for remote registration of applicants are accepted through the official website of the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan (my.uzbmb.uz) and the State Services portal. And it is required to get passing scores by participating in the tests organized by the Knowledge and Skills Assessment Agency.


University grants:

Grants are available at the university. State grants are allocated to talented students who have obtained high marks in the entrance exams. These grants are awarded for one academic year only, and students admitted on the basis of a contract have the opportunity to study on the basis of a grant in the following academic years.


University Scholarship:

Students studying on the basis of a state grant:

The basic amount of the scholarship is paid in the 1st semester of the first year;

- Starting from the next semester, depending on the results of the previous semester, the scholarship will be awarded and paid in the following order:

- Students with excellent performance in all subjects will be paid with a 20% increase in the basic amount of the scholarship;

- Scholarships will not be awarded to students who satisfactorily mastered 30% or more of their general subjects, i.e. scored less than 71 points. With the exception of orphans and children deprived of parental care and students with group 1 and 2 disabilities;

- All other students receiving education on the basis of a state grant will be paid the basic amount of the scholarship.


Scholarships are awarded and paid to students studying on the basis of a payment contract in the following order:

 - Contract students can study with or without a scholarship;

 - The basic amount of the stipend will be paid to those under the contract, regardless of the mastery rate.

 - The stipend will be assigned and paid after the contract amount has been paid.


Scholarships are paid for students with group I and II disabilities in the following order:

 - Students with group I and II disabilities are assigned and paid a 50% higher stipend than the base amount of the stipend, regardless of whether they study on a grant or a contract;

 - Students who belong to the group of orphans and children deprived of parental care, who are fully supported by the state, are assigned and paid a scholarship in the basic amount of the scholarship.



University dormitory: The university has student hostels.

Starting from the 2023/2024 academic year, students of the 1st stage can be accommodated in a dormitory on a trial basis by submitting an application to the YAIDXP or my.gov.uz portal. As for the upper level students, the applications of those who meet the social criteria were traditionally selected by the branch commission. 100% and up to 50% allowances were given to 13 students who met the criteria such as I, II-group disabled, orphans, orphans, etc.

The situation of accommodation of students in rented houses.

More than 1,200 Uzbek students and 1,065 foreign students live in rented apartments and hostels at the Urganch branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy. Of these, 957 students who signed more than 212 lease contracts were reimbursed the amount of rent not exceeding 50% of BHM. In particular, the rent money of the first stage students who came from a long distance in September and October was reimbursed in the amount of 50% of BHM without asking for any documents.


International relations and cooperation:

The international cooperation department of the Urganch branch of the Tashkent Medical Academy was established in 2019. Currently, TTA Urganch branch has established cooperation relations with about 50 universities, research centers, and international hospitals from 13 countries of the world. In the field of higher education, cooperation relations have been established with the universities that are in the most prestigious places in the rankings of world universities. In particular, Kazan Federal University of the Russian Federation, Privolzhsk Research Medical University, Pyatigorsk Medical and Pharmaceutical Institute, Northwestern State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, Istanbul University of the Republic of Turkey, G.N. These include Gabrichevskiy Research Institute, Istanbul University, Istanbul Medipol University, Ankara Medipol University, Istanbul Aydin University, Istanbul Yeni Yuzyil University, Izmir EGE University and Istanbul Medikabil Clinics.
