Urgench Ranch University of Technology began its operations on November 5, 2021, under License No. 0038 as part of UrganchKormmash Joint Stock Company. UrganchKormmash JSC was established in September 1981 based on the production facilities of the Lyubertsy Plant in the Moscow Region. The university is conveniently located in the center of Urgench.

Today, the university serves more than 7,000 students, who are taught by 178 highly qualified faculty members using innovative and student-centered teaching approaches. The educational process is fully integrated with the HEMIS Information System, which is actively used by both faculty members and students.

Faculty members nominated for academic titles are registered through the Higher Attestation Commission (OAK) electronic system, while their research topics are regularly published in the OAK Bulletin.

Construction of a new academic building with a capacity of 12,000 students is currently underway and is expected to be completed and commissioned within this year.

In 2024, the university signed cooperation memorandums with the University of Barcelona and the University of Lleida in Spain. Starting from the new academic year, faculty members and students of Urgench Ranch University of Technology have the opportunity to participate in academic internships at Spanish universities.
